H&M Fifth Avenue Flagship Opening

Last night, as our phones were abuzz with flash flood warnings, Fifth Avenue was abuzz with the opening of its newest flagship: H&M. The ubiquitous retailer celebrated the launch of its largest store to date by collaborating with Jeff Koons for a “Fashion Loves Art” party.
The contemporary artist strolled in with wife, Justine, in hand, grinning from ear to ear, prompting a passerby to joke that his approachability was reminiscent of Mr. Rogers. Meanwhile, Koons marveled about his own dapper two-piece suit ensemble, “head-to-toe H&M, and you know, it feels great!” The 57,000-square-foot space was a full house of pretty young things, and Birdy, Ashley Benson, and Olivia Wilde proudly showed off their Jeff Koons x H&M bags featuring a mini version of Koons’s iconic stainless steel balloon dog.

In addition to being an iconic artist, there’s one thing most people don’t know about Jeff, Justine said: “He’s a great dad he makes it home for dinner every night.”
